NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED TO INCREASE FINANCIAL ACCESSIBILITY ACROSS THE SOUTH WEST

Lendology CIC and Plend are two ethical lenders who have partnered to improve financial inclusion to homeowners across the South West.

Lendology disrupts traditional lending with their decisions powered by partnerships and people, enriching homes and lives through affordable finance.

Funded by local council partners, they provide access to low cost, responsible finance.  Lendology makes lending decisions with people, for people and puts impact before profit.

Plend are a lender looking beyond credit scores to build a fairer picture of individual financial positions.  Developing their own open banking system and Plend Score, Plend are challenging the way financial assessments are completed leading to fairer outcomes for more people.

Working together, the partnership will improve the experience of applying for a Lendology loan via Open Banking fintech.  The partnership is a perfect fit with both organisations passionate about financial inclusion.

Emma Lower, CEO at Lendology, said “Open banking is a huge asset to consumers and lenders, but we know that auto-decision making can lead to financial exclusion. At Lendology, we pride ourselves on making all of our lending decisions with people, for people and yet, open banking has a huge part to play in enabling those decisions.  We are looking forward to working with the team at Plend to support the development on the Plend Score and the open banking platform, using our lending expertise to ensure everyone has access to fair and responsible finance”.

Robert Pasco, CEO at Plend, has said “We’re committed to ensuring that as many people UK-wide are provided with affordable access to credit. Identifying the great work that Lendology has done over the years, it was a no-brainer to partner with them, allowing them to use our open banking technology to make smarter lending decisions that ensure inclusion”.
